In March I went to Cuba to seeing amazing architecture, vintage cars, colors, and have new adventures and I was not disappointed.
Here are my recommendations:
Accommodation- We stayed at a lovely AirBnB with a gorgeous terrace. You can stay in these private hotels(casa particular)
Eats- In the expensive restaurants the food was not great, the street food and informal cafes were better but it wasn't really a food trip.
Salsa Lesson at Casa Del Son- Make sure to contact them before and make a reservation, good for groups, couples, or singles. They partner you with a professional dancer. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the lesson as I do not consider myself a dancer at all.
Horseback Riding-We did a three hour ride and I really enjoyed it, the landscape here where a lot of the cigar tabacco farms are is beautiful. Vinales is a World Heritage site I highly recommend visiting is you have the opportunity. It is a 3 hour car ride from Havana, we rented a vintage car to take us and cost about $200 for the day for the car.
Eats: Lunch at La Ceiba- Grilled Lobster, very good, highly recommend.
Dinner at Casa de Confianza- Farm to table awesome food, mostly meats and vegetables, Amazing view
Beach-We found a place with chairs and drinks but I didn't see any super resort places but maybe we weren't in the right area.
Eats-La Vicaria Best meal I had all trip I got the grilled Lobster Tail Plate : )
